This contest played on the ground of the former at Kinning Park, turned out to be a very well contested affair, the Thistle showing some very smart play against their more experienced opponents. The Rangers kicked off and although frequently pressing their opponents they just succeeded in scoring once during the first half, five minutes after the kick off. Angus doing the needed full in a hard scrimmage a few feet from the Thistle goal. Before the charge of ends the Thistle got well upon the Rangers goal and had a shot over the lines, but they were soon again pressed. In the second round the Kinning Park Club played better together and after two determined efforts to score were successful in sending the ball twice under the Thistle goal, both scores being made in clever form by Angus, who was well supported by the rest of the forwards. The game thus ended in favour of the Rangers by three goals to none. For the winners the back play was excellent and Angus, Pringle, Steel and Struthers were in grand form.
