Match Trivia
The contest between these two clubs took place on the ground of the Lennox, Dumbarton, and resulted in a victory for the Rangers by three goals, and one disallowed to nothing for the Lennox. The ground was n anything like condition, but owning to manner in which it is kept, as vastly superior to many fields in the neighbourhood. About 2.15 the game started and almost at once the Rangers assumed the aggressive not withstanding the stubborn efforts made by the Lennox to drive them back. Near half time the Lennox began to trouble their opponents by clever runs, the stoppage of which sorely tried the speed of the Rangers backs. After half time the Rangers had to lay uphill, and while in this half the youths began to score. Messrs Lang, Kennedy and McCrae, of the Lennox, played remarkably well their great powers and speed, notably the first named showing them to be no mean players
