The game was witness by over 3000 people and great interest and enthusiasm were manifested in the play of the respective teams. The game started at half-past three, when AB McKenzie kicked off for the Rangers about four o’clock, the point being secured by the Rangers by a nice shot from Aird. Shortly afterwards a second goal was scored. Until the call of halftime the strangers had the best of the game. On the resumption of play the Rangers again played with great determination and shot after shot was sent into their opponents goal, but Dr MacDonald generally came to the rescue. In the remaining portion of the game the Rangers continued to maintain great vigour and added other two goals before the game finished. The score then stood Rangers four goals Invernessians none. In the evening the Rangers were entertained to a dinner in the Glenalbyn Hotel, and there was a large attendance
