Play was very fast in the first half, both goals being frequently attacked, and Brodie scored first goal for Rangers in a scrimmage, Clark equalising for the Port ere the interval. Halftime score Rangers 1: Port Glasgow 1. The second half was well contested, the Rangers only showing superiority in shooting for their opponents were their equal in the open, and had about as much of the play as they. Speedie scored a second goal for the Rangers, Hamilton scoring other two. Near the close the Rangers slackened in their efforts, and Gilbraith ran right through their defence and scored.
