Match Trivia

This match was played on Kinning Park, and resulted in favour of the Rangers by 4 goals and one disputed to nil. During the first half the Rangers, having the wind with them, kept the ball well down on the Caledonian goal, but many good changes were lost through loose play. The ball was however sent thrice through one goal being disallowed. During the second half the play of the Rangers greatly improved, and two other goals were placed to their credit. The Caledonian displayed good defensive play, but forward team was weak, Allan being the one exception. For the Rangers Campbell dribbled well, and Marshall was fortunate in goal getting while Ricketts and Gillespie played well at the back
