This match was played on the ground of the former at Paisley on Saturday. The Rangers at the outset forced the game, but could not break down the defence of Crawford and Rae. Wright got the pressure away, and Anderson then beat Sinclair. Some ten minutes from the interval Smith equalised, with a shot which Rae had no chance of intercepting. Halftime – 1 goal each. On resuming the Rangers showed splendid play and McColl put his team one ahead. Immediately following this however the St Mirren got through the Rangers defence and Hall equalised.
