Rovers played with only 10 players. The match report in the North British Daily Mail :- Played on Glasgow Green, the Rangers having won the toss played with the wind in their favour till half time. Good play was shown on both sides, the ball being repeatedly carried from goal to goal. At half time ends were changed, after which spirited play was shown, but darkness setting in the match had to be stopped before time was called and consequently ended in a draw. Both teams played very well together. The Rovers played one forward short.
