Played at Ibrox Park before about 5000 spectators. The Kilmarnock opened well, their rushing tactics spoiling any efforts of their opponents to settle down, and Findlay scored. The home team pulled themselves together, and Wilkie equalised, and before the interval Robertson added a second goal. Halftime result – Rangers 2 goals: Kilmarnock 1. For about 15 minutes in the second period play was pretty even, but the Kilmarnock seemed to have expended all their energy, and were unable to last to the finish, so that their opponents had a somewhat easy task, and scored other four goals. Result – Rangers 6: Kilmarnock 1
