These clubs met in an Inter-City League match on Ibrox Park yesterday afternoon in miserable weather, before about 4000 spectators. Rangers played against the wind in the first half, but managed to have the better of the play, and after several hard tries Hamilton scored from a pass by A Smith. Even play followed to halftime, but neither team could get through. Halftime result – Rangers 1: Hibs 0. The Hibs worked hard for the equaliser in the early minutes of the second half, but Crawford and Drummond were too safe to let anything past them, so that Dickie was seldom called on to save. The Rangers left pair broke away, and after several good tries A Smith scored. The same player added a third just on time, an interesting game ended in favour of Rangers by 3 goals to 0.
