These clubs met in their return League fixture at Celtic Park yesterday before a huge attendance. Celtic in the first half with a slight wind behind them, had much the better of the game, and after 15 minutes play Bell opened the scoring. Smith equalised for the Rangers, but ere halftime the Celtic added other 2 goals. Halftime result – Celtic 3 goals: Rangers 1. On changing ends the Rangers showed up to better purpose, and made a strong attack on McArthur’s goal, Hamilton getting through, but he was given offside. A penalty was awarded the Celtic for Drummond bringing down Bell, but Divers did not succeed in converting. Rangers continued to have the upper hand, and Graham with a neat screw beat McArthur. Up to the close play was very exciting, the Rangers working hard to save their record, but from various causes they were unsuccessful. Result – Celtic 3: Rangers 2
