Match Trivia

Not withstanding the meeting of the Vale and the Renton at Hampden Park to play off their tie for the Scottish Cup, a large number of spectators assembled at Kinning Park to witness the match between the Rangers and the Cambuslang. The weather was magnificent and there was no wind to prevent accurate shooting at goal. Both teams were strongly represented and from beginning to end the game was keenly contested. At the close of the first half both teams had scored a goal. Immediately after the change of ends the home team gained another point. The rest of the game was splendidly contested, both teams showing grand form. The Rangers however had the best of the play and just at the close won a third goal. The match thus resulted in a victory for the Rangers by three goals to one.
