These clubs met at Pollock Park and although the ground was very heavy some really good play was shown, and for a long time it was difficult to say what team was playing best. Only one goal was scored all through the game and this occurred in the first round, when the Rangers succeeded in forcing the ball through out of an exciting scrimmaged.
