Match Trivia

The Rangers and Battlefield met a Kinning Park on Thursday evening last before a poor turnout of spectators. The weather was unfavourable but a really good game by Turner (Pollockshields Athletic), Harvie and McAra (Queen’s Park) and Brown (Vale of Leven); while the Rangers were without McIntyre, Chalmers, Pringle and Lafferty. In the first period the home team faced the wind, but the play was pretty equal on both sides and no goals were scored. With the wind the Rangers pressed though the Battlefield had more than a look in occasionally, At the close the score stood two to nil in favour of the light blues.
