After another kick off the ball was again put through for the Portland by a half back. Vallance again kicked off for the Rangers, and one of the backs returning it J Campbell got it and ran it up the field was assistance of Hill, and shot it through the goal. The ball was again set in motion and kept running about the field from goal to goal till almost time when it was again scored by Portland. After half time the Rangers with the wind at their back made things pretty warm for the Portland scoring seven goals in rapid succession, the Rangers goalkeeper never handling the ball the whole time. For the Portland McWhirter, Harrison, Mair and Sinclair played well; while for the Rangers the back play was very good and the brothers Campbell and Watson forwards played brilliantly
