At Boghead on Saturday, the Dumbarton scored about fifteen minutes after the start. Shortly after several shots the Rangers fortress again fell, and goal No. 3 was scored just as halftime was called. On the resumption of play the Rangers strove hard to score and ultimately succeeded in doing so. This made the game more exciting, both teams exerting themselves to their utmost to score. Dumbarton were again in that position scoring their fourth and last goal after a scrimmage near the uprights. No more goals being recorded. Dumbarton won a stuffy fought game by four goals to one.
