Match Trivia
Played on Ibrox Park before upwards of 13,00 spectators. The visitors had the advantage of a strong westerly breeze in the first half, and by strong busting play harassed the Rangers defence from the start, and Raisbeck opened the scoring. There was plenty of good energetic football displayed by both sides, but the visitors were more aggressive than their opponents, and five minutes from the interval McTavish added a second point. Halftime result – Falkirk 2: Rangers 0. With chance of ends, Rangers improved somewhat, and at the end of ten minutes play Smith got through and scored, but the Falkirk put u a good fight, and it was with some difficulty Rangers kept them from adding to their score. A fine rally by the home team ended in Spiers finding an opening and equalising the score. Plays towards the end deteriorate very much, and the result was in doubt to the end. Result – Rangers 2: Falkirk 2. Drawings £340
