Match Trivia

Played at Meadowside kindly granted by the Partick Thistle. The game opened quietly, the Saints scoring first through Young, the ball glancing off N Smith into the net. The Rangers equalised through A Smith. After some interesting play the Rangers got the lead, Neil scoring. Till halftime the Rangers held the upper hand, leading at the interval by 2 goals to 1. The second half was wholly in favour of the Rangers, who scored again through Hamilton, and then through Neil from a penalty against Jackson. Result – Rangers 4 goals: St Mirren 1 goal
