This undecided tie was played at Celtic Park on Saturday before fully 30,000 spectators. The ground was fairly heavy after the recent rainfall, and there was a strong wind blowing across the field. In the first fifteen minutes the Celtic had all the play, the forwards playing a rare go-ahead game and shooting whenever they had a chance, but they were unable to score. Campbell on one occasion missed narrowly, while the left wing failed twice in succession to ca good runs by Bell and Divers. The Rangers left broke away, and after some fooling about near midfield, Hamilton went right past Orr and scored with a high shot. The Celtic shortly after equalised, a centre from Bell being headed through by Gilhooley. Shortly after the Celtic got a penalty kick, but although they got two tries as it they failed to score, and the teams were level at the interval, one goal each. The second half was very tame compared with the opening 45, and neither team was prominent, the lay being very equally divided. Gilhooley missed a grand chance from Campbell’s pass, while Low was at fault at the other end. Hamilton ultimately scored for the Rangers with a very smart shot, after Campbell had beaten Storrier. The Rangers thus won by 2 goals to 1. King missed a twice taken first half penalty
