Match Trivia
was carried right down and run past. The kick-off was immediately returned, and the Rangers backs headed outwards. From the throw-in Bell shit through. Time two minutes. This reverse somewhat steadied the strangers, and they played more carefully for a time, and made an incursion into their opponents territory, but Taylor was on the alert, and returned the ball, enabled his front division to make a sharp attack on the Rangers stronghold. The game was scarily a quarter of an hour old when Aitken and his partner along with Madden manoeuvred the ball up to the right of the goal, when Aitken shot in but it was well returned. Dewar however, caught up and running well in sent the ball through. After another attack by Dumbarton the Rangers made siege on the home goal, and Cameron, with a low shot scored their first point. After some open play the Rangers scored again. Shortly after the home team gained a foul, but the kick was returned, and a corner fell to the Rangers. The ball was nicely place, and after a scrimmage lasting about half a minute McKenzie put through the third point. Another determined attack was made on the Dumbarton goal, but the final kick was a trifle wide. A third attack was well meant, but Taylor saved well. The Rangers were now having if anything the best of the play, although they as yet failed to secure further success. After some manovering from a throw-in, Watt passed to Ralph, who made matters even. The Rangers then ran the ball up, and with a swift kick scored a fourth goal. To the finish the game was fast, both teams having a look-in. Amid great excitement Low with a swift shot equalised matters. The game ended in a draw of four goals each
