Match Trivia

The return match between the above clubs took place on the ground of the former at Kinning Park, and after a well-contested game ended in a draw no goals being scored on either side. In the second half GM Wilson made a fine corner kick from the Rangers flag, and many spectators imagined that a goal had been made. The thing was so difficult to decide that one umpire gave a goal, but the other ‘no goal’ and this last opinion was shared by the referee. During the game some good runs were made on both sides, Lang and Wilson for the Clydesdale, and Vallance and M McNeil for the Rangers excelling in general play
