The visit of the League champions to West Calder last night, attracted a large attendance of spectators to Burngrange Park. The Rangers opened well, and after some smart play they began the scoring. West Calder replied with some good forward play and after several unsuccessful efforts they equalised the game, Terry and Russell made headway for the home team, and beating the backs, West Calder took the lead. Robertson, Wilkie and Campbell put in telling work for the Rangers, but West Calder defence was very steady, and repelled the attacks. Even play followed, and a t half-time the score stood :- West Calder two goals; Rangers one goal. On resuming, Campbell forced the play, and White had difficulty in keeping this wing in check. After repeated attempts the Rangers equalised, Young getting the ball past Boyd. Duffy and Russell took the play to the RangersÂ’ goal, and Grant was called upon, but he saved cleverly. At the other end Robertson beat all oppositions, and gave the Rangers the lead. Neil was conspicuous with fine placing, but Boyd cleared finely. Near the close the Rangers got close in and scored. No further scoring took place, and the match resulted :- Rangers four goals; West Calder two goals
