Match Trivia
Played at Cathkin Park before about 15,000 spectators. The game from the start was very fast, and both teams showed rather touch anxiety in front of goal. Neither set of forwards was up to much; they put in plenty of running and hard work, but there was a distinct lack of cohesion in their plan of attack. The Rangers had rather the better play in the first half, but could not score at halftime no goals being scored on either side. The second half was well contested, the Rangers forcing the pace at the outset, and having hard lines in front of goal, Hamilton being given offside after he had scored splendid goal. The Third forwards played better towards the close, but could not beat the opposing defence. Result – A draw, no goals.
