A cultured midfield player who had won major trophies at home and abroad with the magnificent Everton side of the mid 1980's, Trevor was already an established England internationalist by the time he joined in the summer of 1989. His arrival may have been somewhat overshadowed by the signing of Maurice Johnston but there was no doubt Rangers were getting the finished article in Steven.
Trevor preferred the central midfield role but his almost telepathic relationship with former Everton team mate Gary Stevens on the right flank was soon rekindled in Scotland.
His goal at Tannadice secured the title in his debut season and, such was his form, it was no surprise when a big money move to the continent completed in 1991.
After a spell with Marseilles, Trevor returned to Ibrox in 1992 where he stayed for the remainder of his career.
Injuries curtailed Trevor's appearances during the final 3 seasons at the Club.
