Match Trivia

William Niven Benefit Match, Rangers sent a strong team to Stenhousemuir yesterday, the occasion being a benefit match to William Niven, who has been a faithful servant to the home club. The Light Blues, who showed any amount of tricky footwork, were the clever lot, and ultimately ran out winners by 4-1. Gordon had two of the goals, and Reid and Brown the others. Although the game was contested in friendly spirit it was keen enough. James Logan was one of the dominating personalities on the field, his tackling, placing and shooting all being good. Ritchie, Hill, Mitchell and Taylor were best of the locals
