These clubs met on Kinning Park in the second round of the cup-ties and as anticipated the Rangers had an easy victory. The number of goals scored however exceed expectations of the partisans of the senior club. The young players showed good play at times and though they lost fourteen goals their ability to score two goals against such formidable opponents is very creatable to them. Thus far the Kinning Park eleven have been successful in all their matches this season. The Rangers scored eight goals during the first half, two of which were disputed and eight in the second portion of the game. The Whitehill too both their goals in the second half. It is but fair to mention that Chalmers the Rangers goalkeeper got has hand injured and was forced to retire after playing fifteen minutes so that the local players were a man short during the remainder of the game.
