The Rangers had much the better of the play and scored within two minutes, Robertson beating Whitehouse from a pass from Robey. At the interval Rangers led by four goals to two. Robey retired at the interval, and his place was taken by Alex Smith, and the Rangers still continued to assert their superiority, Walker going in great form. The Rangers piled on the goals, and won by seven goals to two.)
