Match Trivia
The second tie was played between the Rangers and the 3rd L.R.V. the Rangers kicked off, and for a time the play was very even. The Rangers made a sudden rush on the Third’s goal, and had not Downie caught a swift, low shot, the Ibrox men would undoubtedly have secured the first goal. Wyllie started and carried out a good run, and centred to Henderson, the latter sending the ball through, while James Hamilton was looking after Downie whom he grassed. No further scoring took place up till halftime. Two or three minutes after the kick-off in the second half; James Hamilton scored a second goal for the Rangers. Downie ran out to save, missed his kick, and lost the third goal for the Volunteers. This followed by the Rangers scoring a fourth goal. The Rangers and Celtic will play off the final on Tuesday
