Shortly after he again the Rangers custodian, who might have saved. After some good play on both sides the interval arrived with the score unaltered. Halftime – St Mirren 2 goal: Rangers 1 goal. On resuming the Rangers bombarded Rae’s goal, but he saved magnificently at least half a dozen times in the first five minutes. Notwithstanding great efforts by the Rangers to equalise they failed to get the better of the visitors defence. The Saints occasionally made very dangerous raids on Watson’s goal, but the Ranger saved all that came his way. Near the end the home team deserved to equalise, and were decidedly unlucky in not doing so. The Saints had a lucky win. Result – Saint Mirren 2 goals: Rangers 1 goal. Drawings £128
