The annual charity match in aid of Stevenson Sick Nursing Association was played at Warner Park, Stevenson, on Monday evening last. As hitherto, teams representing the Rangers (Glasgow) and St Mirren (Paisley) provided the attraction; and the weather being fine, a good attendance of spectators welcomed the First Leaguers, who trotted out several of their latest captures. A local junior in the person of McBain (of Winton Rovers and Ardrossan Academy fame) was also included in the Rangers’ eleven, and it is but fair to say he made a creditable appearance among the pros.
