After 5 minutes Paton from a run by Oswald scored the first goal for the Saints. From a judicious piece of play by Barker the Rangers pressed Hunter, but the defence of the Saints could not be overcome until well on in the game, when Boyd by a splendid effort equalised. At halftime each side gad a goal. On resuming the Saints came away and obtained a corner. The ball was splendidly placed, but Haddow cleared. Another run by the Saints was productive of a second corner, but Boyd got the ball out of danger.
