Match Trivia

On Ibrox Park, estimated attendance 15,000. Drawings gate and stands £362. All interest was taken out of the game when Thomson Port Glasgow’s right back sustained an accidental injury, and had to retire eight minutes after the start. Thereafter the Rangers did practically as they pleased, and wound up in the first half with a lead of six goals. The real feature of the match was a sparkling run by Bennett in the second half when he travelled half the field and walked the ball into the net this being the most popular goal of the game
