Played at Ibrox Park before about 7000 spectators. The first half was splendidly contested, the visitors playing a clever wide passing game for about 20 minutes, and Crawford opened the scoring from a centre by Atherton. The Rangers steadied down as the game went on, and Hamilton ere in the interval scored twice. Halftime result – Rangers 2 goals: Partick Thistle 1 goal. The second half saw the Rangers to greater advantage, their forwards working in greater unison, and with the visitors visibly falling off Hamilton again broke through and scored and shortly after A Smith after some grand work got away, and scored the fourth goal in quite his best style. To the close the game was well contested, but no further scoring took place. Result – Rangers 4 goals: Partick Thistle 1 goal.
