Played at Ibrox Park yesterday before about 6000 spectators. Rangers had the wind to fare in the first half, and for a time were clearly hemmed in by their opponents, Warner having a couple of good tries for goal. Rangers improved as the game went on, and by give forward work harried the opposing defenders for a considerable time, and after Robertson had missed, A Smith opened the scoring. Halftime Rangers 1 goal: Notts 0. On resuming were a couple of changes in the teams. Morton taking Drummonds place, and Ghee retiring in favour of Bell. The visitors showed a great turn of speed, and their halves lashed on the ball leaving the forwards to overcome the slower Rangers defence, and Johnston, Humphrey and Warner scored in turn. Towards the close the home team braced up a little and from a free kick awarded for a foul Stark shot and Pennington and Prescott between them gave away a goal. Result Notts County 3: Rangers 2
