Match Trivia

The Rangers had a visit from the Greenock Morton at their new ground Ibrox Park. Considering the fact that it was the annual trades holiday, and rather warm for football, the attendance of spectators was fair, but after the opening match the previous Saturday, when the crowd was computed by tens of thousands, the Rangers may be ill to please in that respect in all future matches. As it was the new ground played very well, and the game all through was most enjoyable one, and ended in a draw, with tow goals each. In the first round both teams scored a couple of goals and this was all the points gained during the match. In the second half the Rangers had fully the best of it, but want of combination in front prevented scoring
