Played on Ibrox Park before about 2000 spectators. Rangers played a strong game at the start, but could not penetrate Johnstones defence. Stevely saving some good shots, Robertson and Speedie scored ere the interval and Hamilton had several good tries. Halftime result Rangers 2 goals: Johnstone 0. The visitors had the better of the exchanges for a considerable time, but they could not get into close enough quarters to score, and Smith ran off and added a third goal for Rangers followed closely by another by Hamilton and Howie beat Dickie for his side. Just ere the call of time Robertson added a fifth and Graham a sixth point. Result Rangers 6 goals: Johnstone 1
