Match Trivia
Before a small attendance an Inter-City League match was played between the above teams at Ibrox Park on Tuesday. The weather was all against accurate football; still, many bright passages were shown during the game. Rangers kept Paton very busy repelling shots, but the Hibs’ reserve custodian proved equal to all demands, until A Brown got one home from a somewhat difficult position. That was the margin at the interval. In the second half, Hibs improved wonderfully, and Hendren equalised with a brilliant shot, and Kerr had failed with a penalty kick. In the closing stages, Hogg, who captained the home team, scored the winning goal, and Rangers repeated their Easter Road result. Te Hibs were best served by Paton, Templeton, Anderson, Kerr and Fleming; while Overend (Petershill) also did well at outside right. For Rangers, Farrington kept a good goal, ‘Smith’ gave a promising display at right back, and of the others, Logan, Waddell, Paterson, and Parker were best
