These teams met last night on Ibrox Park in a friendly game before about 1000 spectators. In the first half play favoured the home team, but their work in front of goal-lacked sting. The Hibernian scored the first point through Reid about 30 minutes after the start. The closing minutes of the first half continued in favour of the home lot, and the ball went everywhere but into the net. Halftime – Hibernian 1 goal: Rangers nothing. On resuming the Rangers at once began to press and shortly after Hartley scored a fine goal. The same played record a second immediately afterwards, but the point was disallowed on account of offside. Fifteen minutes after resuming, the Edinburgh front rank got away, and Reis added a second point, which Dickie might easily have saved.
