At Ibrox Park before about 6000 spectators, the Rangers opposed the Hibs. As will be seen from the teams, both clubs had several new men on trial, and judging by the appearance they made they are likely to be played pretty regularly. Dunlop and Gray were a bit fluky at first, but they soon got settled into their game, and gave a finished display. Douglas is an able centre, with plenty of speed and pluck, while his height stands him in good stead in front of goal. The Hibs had the wind at their backs in the first half, and after some smart, fast play Douglas opened the scoring, McPherson with a smart individual effort equalising shortly after. Play continued fast, and a slip by Glen put Rangers in the lead. Just before halftime Hibs equalised, the score at the interval being 2 goals each. The second half was replete with interest, and both goal were frequent assayed, Dickie having a lot of dangerous shots to deal with, but he was equal to all the calls made on him. From a trip inside the penalty line Neil scored, and a fast game ended in a victory for the Rangers by 3 goals to 2. On the night’s play it be evident that both clubs have teams capable of giving a good account of themselves, Drummond in particular being in splendid form. Hibs halfback line was a bit superior to the home lot, and lay a dashing game
