Played on Ibrox Park before about 18,000 spectators and in ideal football weather. In the first half against the wind Rangers played a sound game, and held their opponenets till within five minutes of the interval, when Walker got through and scored. Halftime – Hearts 1 goal: Rangers 0. The game in the second half was a bit more energetic, and at times feeling was shown, which called for the intervention of the referee. The Hearts were playing an open game, and their superior speed carried them through, Walker, George Wilson (2) and Cooper adding goal in quick succession. Result – Hearts 5: Rangers 0.
