Rangers with the wind at their back in the first half, were most disappointing their shooting in particular being very weak, but Noble scored from long range after half an hour’s play. Dundee combined better than their opponenets, but they could make nothing of Craig and Law, who defended splendidly. Halftime – Rangers 1: Dundee 0. Against the wind in the second half, the Rangers played a much better game, but there was little improvement in their shooting, and it was only when a penalty was awarded them against McKenzie, that May registered a second goal.
