This match was played at Kinning Park and resulted in favour of the Rangers by one goal to nothing. The game during the first half was pretty equally contested, but during the latter portion the Rangers had somewhat the best of it. The back play of the Dumbarton was splendid, and of their forwards McMaster, Hartley and Meikleham were conspicuous. The Rangers forwards showed a deficiency in passing on several occasions, McNeil and the bothers Campbell however exhibited some good play.
