Match Trivia

The last match of the Rangers matches at Ibrox took place last night before a meagre turnout of spectators. The Rangers played Cowan, late of Preston North End. Winning the toss, the Clyde played with the wind and sun at their backs. Clyde wee first to press, and after ten minutes play Hyndman scored their first goal. The Rangers tried hard to equalise, but fully half an hour had gone ere Gray succeeded. Halftime result – a draw 1 goal each. The second half was all in favour of the Rangers, but their shooting was wretched, while the defence of the Clyde was all that could be wished. The Clyde forwards broke away occasionally, but they were seldom dangerous. No further scoring took place. Result – Rangers 1 goal: Clyde 1 goal.
