Match Trivia

Bert Manderson’s benefit match between Rangers and Celtic attracted about 10,000 spectators to Ibrox Park last night. The result of the meeting is that the rollicking Irishman will add a good £500 to his bank account. Both sides were composed chiefly of Reserve Eleven men, nut nevertheless the play was quite good. Laird scored a couple of nice goals for Rangers, one in first half and one in the second, while Craig got Celtic’s goal. Unfortunately, Charlie Shaw after a fine exhibition of saving had to retire with his hand damaged. Arthur Dixon, Rangers, who was walking the line, stepped into the breach, and brought of one or two creditable saves. These of course, were loudly cheered by the crowd
