Match Trivia
This game came off at Ibrox Park, the ground of the Rangers and resulted in a win for the Celtic by six goals to one. The Rangers lost the toss and kicked off, and the ball was carried into Celtic territory, but it was returned, and for a few minutes Nicol had hard work keeping the ball out of the goal. In about twenty minutes after the start the Rangers succeeded in scoring the first point, nut a minute or so afterwards the Celtic equalised. The visitors now drew togetherm and for the second time sent the leather through the posts. Halftime was called not long afterwards. When the teams changed sides, the Rangers were down on the Celtic goal, but although the home team made it very warm for the visitors they mamaged to save the goal. The play now became pretty rough, and free kicks were given pretty often for foul play. About twenty minutes from the finish Coleman put on the third point for the visitors, which was immediately followed by a fourth from Maley. The Rangers seemed to loss all heart, and when Dunbar scored the fifth point they seemed to fail altogether. The sixth point put on about five minutes from time, leaving the score as above
