At Ibrox Park before about 1500 spectators in fine weather. Airdrieonians started well but latterly the Rangers settled down, and Campbell opened the scoring after 15 minutes. Good work by the Airdrie forwards about the equaliser F O’Rorke scoring. Half-time one goal each. In the second portion the Rangers added other four goals, through Hamilton, Campbell, Speedie and Robertson, while Airdrieonians scored twice, F O’Rorke again scoring and Drummond sending through his own goal. Result – Rangers 5 goals; Airdrieonians 3 goals.
