At Ibrox Park, Govan estimated attendance 10,000 drawings (gate and stands) £208. Aberdeen forwards combined well in the first half and fully held their own. Lennie and Blackburn had accurate centres missed, but it was otherwise with the Rangers for Bennett picked up Smith’s cross and scored. Some fine feeding by Halkett let Blackburn away, and a pass to Simpson allowed that player to bring his side level. It was a very even game until halftime.
