Although doing well in the first thirty minutes of the first half and for 15 minutes of the second half it always looked a foregone conclusion that the result would never be in doubt. The home forwards played into their opponent’s by too much dribbling. The winners play and Reid had got their third goal, was delightful the understanding between their halves and forwards being splendid. They have to thank their halves mainly for their victory, for, after having played the home forwards to a standstill, they kept their forwards always on the move and at the same time had some splendid tries on their own account. Galt was very keen in trying his hand, and in the closing stages had a magnificent drive, which certainly deserved a goal. The losers played pluckily and their defence deserved great credit for the stand they made against great odds. Craigie at back being always a prominent figure in clearing. Porter, in goal although he had such a crop of goals against him, cannot be blames for the home side’s downfall, and on several occasions saved very smartly. H McKenzie, at centre half, has been seen to better advantage. Clark, whose first match it was showed that he will be an acquisition to the Queen’s once he gets into the other forwards’ play. For Rangers Bennett was outstanding with Galt a good second
