Match Trivia
These teams met last night on Hampden Park in a Glasgow League fixture before 4000 spectators. The first half was of a quiet nature, play being mostly confined to the forwards, and both goalkeepers had little to do. Towards the interval Rangers pressed, and but for the fine play of Campbell at back they would have scored, the kicking of the Queen’s Park man being good and strong. At halftime neither side had scored. Immediately on resuming the Rangers front rank got off, and Smith accepting a nice pass scored a fine goal Eadie having no chance of saving. There was a lack of combination among the home forwards and they never got far away. Ten minutes from time the restart Speedie got a second goal, and from this point the play favoured the Rangers, Speedie, Smith and McColl showing some fine touches. The play of the home team lacked dash, and finish, and the Rangers continued to have the best of matters till the finish. It was an uninteresting game and ended in favour of the Rangers by 2 goals to 0
