Match Trivia

At Hampden Park last night these teams met in a Glasgow League fixture before about 1500 spectators. In the first half the Rangers had the sun in their face, and they lost one or two likely chances. Lay was evenly contested each goalkeeper being visited in turn, Sinclair of the Rangers having slightly more to do. The interval arrived without either side having scored. Shortly after the resumption the Rangers front rank got off and Kivlichan scored. The Ibrox men after this got more of the play, and Alex Smith got a second point. The Queen’s defence was rather shaky, and Grieve in goal was kept busy. A quarter of an hour from the finish, Smith got a third point for the Rangers rather easily. Play till the finish was quiet and even. Result – Rangers 3 goals: Queen’s Park 0
