Match Trivia

An attendance of 10,000 witnessed the opening match in the Inter-City League between these teams. At the outset it was evident the Queen’s meant to make a good show in the competition, and it was not long ere Taylor found the net with a good fast shot. Crawford followed with a second and although Mackie scored for Rangers, the point was knocked off through having been offside. This was the score at halftime. The Rangers played better in the second half, but failed to open their account. Logan played grandly at half for the Queen’s. The Queen’s failing also to score, a good game in which the home team shone beat ended – Queen’s Park 2: Rangers 0. The gate and stand amounted to £228
